T-Mobile Video Calling Slice

Build a premium video conferencing user experience with the T-Mobile Video Calling Slice, specifically designed to improve call consistency and quality on the mobile network.

Any technically compatible video calling app can join beta at no charge to developers, to test app performance with optimized network quality including higher resolution and frame rate.

Slicing is available on select T-Mobile plans. You’ll need a line that’s 5G SA capable to sign up for beta testing our Video Calling Slice on your device. Being accepted to beta testing will enable your SIM to be provisioned for slicing to start testing on your device.

Video Calling Slice requirements

The following are required for evaluating your app with Slicing:

Devices that support 5G SA and URSP slicing (learn about device requirements).
Appropriate T-Mobile line that supports Standalone 5G (SA) network.
Small modification to your apps using standard device API calls for slicing (read the technical documentation).
Enable the T-Mobile line on your test device with slicing.
Once you’ve been added to the list of Beta testers, you’ll receive instructions on how to subscribe to slicing, as well as how to enable it on your test lines by providing your phone number and the IMEI of your test device.
Be in a location that has slicing enabled for beta testing ( locations where network slicing is available ).
