The SMS Notification API allows you to send an SMS signal to any device that is active on the network and associated with your account. Some example use cases:

Rental Car: Send an SMS to an IoT device attached to a rental car to trigger locked doors to open and allow a customer to retrieve lost keys. This allows you to provide a better customer experience and avoid towing costs.
Smart Home Security:
- Monitor whether a door is locked or unlocked in order to notify authorities of a potential home invasion
- Send an SMS alert to lock a door remotely
Medical Devices: Use an application to monitor real-time changes to medical devices (for example, blood pressure monitors, heart rate monitors, blood sugar monitors, etc.) then send an SMS to the device to immediately shut down or change their behavior.
