SMS Notification API

The DevEdge SMS API allows you to send an SMS signal to any device that is active on the network and associated with your account.


With the SMS service you can:

  • - Easily send messages or pieces of data to your IoT devices to initiate actions
  • - Communicate with devices from your application or cloud environment
  • - Integrate with other DevEdge APIs

  • Note: The SMS Notification API is an optional service that can be added when you purchase an IoT Developer Kit or SIM Starter Kit.

To get started, you need:

  1. An active DevEdge account

    Create a DevEdge account, if you haven't already.
  2. A DevEdge IoT Developer KIt or SIM Starter Kit

    This API is only provided as a service with the purchase of a DevEdge IoT Developer Kit or a SIM Starter Kit.
  3. An active subscription for the SMS Notification API

    Your subscription will be activated when you activate your IoT Dev Kit or SIM Starter Kit.
  4. Your API keys

    Get your API keys from the DevEdge dashboard. Instructions here.
